Still getting ready and a freebie

This is taking more time and effort than I originally thought - the getting ready for a crafty weekend!

I'll be selling Maxam Made papers and ephemera, So I have been cutting and packaging, making lists of things to bring. This is my first weekend crafty event!  I prefer to travel light, but there is no way that is going to happen for this weekend!!


Lots of cutting - my trusty  stack cutter that I purchased on ebay- this whipped through 4,000 sheets of paper in about 3 hours I am linking this for you because if you cut a lot of cardstock, this will be the best 129.00 you can spend for cutting! I can cut 3 packages of CS at once with a perfect easy cut! Demo's you would LOVE this!

ah perfecto Ginny, I love the card and the way you stamped on tag on it .. wonderful work.. and all that cutting, to be honest that cutter scares me and could not sue it too lethal with my fingers an all :D Shaz in Oz.x

Tutorial: Making Napkin Cards

Here is a fun tried and true old fashioned card making technique. Long before we had all these sumptuous patterned papers we had gorgeous napkins! For depth of color and interesting texture, you can't beat them especially for the money! Most you you may have done these so this will be an ‘Oh Yeah’ moment! Have fun! You can start with any size paper napkin - I like to pick min up at Tuesday Morning, they have a wonderful selection and are usually marked down Separate the printed surface from the tissue backing - these napkins are usually 3 layers I cut my panels to fit a light weight piece of cardstock I drizzled glue on the card stock and then added my napkin panel I found it was easier to keep the light and floaty napkin on the table and then place the gluey paper on it Gently smoothed it a little bit - remember the napkin layer is very fragile I gave it a few minutes to set up and the just added a puddle of Lineco glue. How To Restore A Vintage Rubber Stamp

I have a lovely Vintage  Magenta Cat Stamp, I'm not sure of the exact year of release, but I'm pretty sure it is about 20 years old, It appears to be in perfect condition.   But on inspection, I can feel that the rubber has gotten a little dry and "tough" and what that means is that I won't get a good impression from it.  I bet you have run into the same thing with some of your older stamps!  Don't toss the stamp, there is a way to restore them pretty easily! I have on hand the little sanding blocks you can buy for about $2.00 at the hardware store.  The are very handy in the craft room!  I gave this stamp a vigorous rubbing and then wiped off the dust with a damp wipe Next a coat of glycerin - a $4.00 drugstore item - you can also re-ink your embossing/resist pad with this! Let it sit over night and then wipe with a damp towel.  Your stamp should have that nice soft rubber texture.  Now the ink will sit on the rubber!  I inked up
