Catching up !

Image
Today over at the Twist of Faith Challenge blog, our challenge is a sketch challenge!!  This weeks Sponsor is BugaBoo Stamps and they have some terrific digital images!   Here is the Sketch Challenge   I love using sketches, I enjoy making them up too!  using or creating a sketch gives you a whole different handle on Stamping as an art form.  I find using sketches gives me a better composition every time, my cards look more balanced and have more eye appeal! An added plus I use my supplies much more economically - not that I save every sliver of scrap, I don't but I do USE what I have!!  My craft spending fast has been awesome, I may even be done with it!  More on that later!   Here is my card, this is a 5x6.5 size     Click over to Twist of Faith, make a card , enter a card and you may win a gift from Bagaboo!  If you don't win a stamp you will still have a great card to send some one a little cheer and encouragement!!   I'll be talking more about sketches tomorrow using

Bleach Stamping Tutorial

Image
Today I am doing a bleach stamping tutorial over at  SpeedyTV   !  This is a fun  and simple technique and something you most likely won't have to buy supplies for! Click over to speedy and a after trying the technique enter you card and you may win Free Stamps !!   These are two great techniques especially for new Stampers, there is nothing complicated and you most likely have everything you to need already to try this out! You are going to make two separate card for this project, but you can use the same stamps! Here is a picture of the completed project, I like to have an idea of what I   am getting into before I get into it!      More than 50% of crafter are visual learners and have a much easier time with directions if they can see the whole picture first!   I know I sure am that way!!! The card in Aqua is the   “High Lighted” card and the one in Browns and Blacks is the “Low Lighted” card Here is a list of supplies:   Card stock for the card bases and card stock for layers

Rainy Monday

Image
It is a lovely raining Monday Morning here in Western MA.  We have had so little rain this summer it is very welcome!   Today is FOSTV card challenge day and the theme is 'Corners Decorated"  I used my Lion stamp again from the  Wild thing set , I love that stamp!!  and I need another masculine birthday card this week.  On the same stamp set there is a great tiger ( I should have used that one for this card!).  I used a lot of layers for this card and I think it add a lot by doing that. This is a A6 size card and all the papers were in my stash.   I'm off to do more fall cleaning!  I hope you have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by! Ginny M

Yesterday while Steve and I went out walking we were fortunate to come across something very unexpected, a quartet of bobcat cubs!!!  We were walking the Westover Air force  Base perimeter road, and we came upon them as they crossed the road one at a time!  What an awesome thing to watch, they were beautiful, but we kept our distance, not sure where mom was!    Back at the craft room, I made a card for Twist Of Faith Blog   This weeks' sponser is Head over to Twist of Faith , enter in the fun  and you may win Melonheadz Digi!!     I used the MelonHeadz candle stamp and the sentiment is from Our Daily Bread Design!   Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day! Ginny M

It is a beautiful Monday Morning here in Western MA!  You can feel the Fall coming, you can see a touch of color in the leaves!  I Love the summer and the "openness" of the season: open windows, open doors, walk out side and not worry about snow or sleet....    Fall is my favorite time, I can keep the windows open and enjoy more comfortable temperatures and then there is the glorious color changes!!  I'll be out walking right after this post to enjoy the beautiful morning!!   On Mondays, Friends of Speedy TV host a challenge ; this week is simply a masculine card! I made mine using the Big Cats Stamps .  Quick and simple for a favorite guy!!     Click on over to the FOSTV   Make and enter a card and you may win a stamp set from Marks!!   Now I'm off to walk and hopefully this week I will get caught up and back on track with my posting!! Have a great day and Enjoy the Blessing of your Life! Ginny M

And So The Story Begins

Over at Twist Of Faith The Challenge today  is Anniversaries, The Host Sponsor is Digi Darla  and they have sent us some of their Lovely designs to work with!  Stop over at the Twist of Faith Blog and enter you beautiful encouraging art and you may win a Digi Darla Blessing!!   Here is my card using the "Tall wedding couple"     The Sentiment is a ODBD stamp   Papers are from my stash and you really can't tell but the wedding gown and  veil is coated  in clear iridescent nail polish! And Yes I do know the photo has a strange cast to it, I need to get a repair done on my camera!!          This week the challenge had a little more personal meaning to me as I attended a beautiful weeding of a dear couple on Saturday.  Don't you just love a wedding when you feel the Bride and Groom Really, Really love each other!  It brought back many happy memories of my wedding day with Steve and all that we have grown through.  It reminded me of the Hope we Have as the Bride of Christ

Happy Labor Day!  The end of the summer, where did  summer go??  School starts here in Chicopee MA on Tuesday, local towns started last week.  This will  be the first fall I have not had a child returning to school in 23 years. What a relief!!!!!  I can hear that old Alice Cooper song in my head - Schools Out!!! Anyway   Friends of Speedy TV are having their Monday Challenge, this week it is 'Frame it up'! Click on over and check it out!  If you enter you may win a free stamp set!!  Here is my DT entry:     The subject was framing, and I used a paper frame that I made with embossing folders, very simple!   Here's a fun frame for you to use  (just copy the jpg to your desk top)   You can add more contrast once you  have saved it to you computer, I love this frame and color it in soft colors that go with the season I am going to use it in.   How about saving this too and placing it in the frame?   I hope you have a great day and May God bless you and your labors!!   Ginny M
