The first one uses this wonderful masculine portrait: The public domain image of the man praying was printed on 110# smooth white cardstock and the base card was 130# watercolor paper.  The card is 4.5x6.5 I changed the text color to white. The verse for you to right-click and save: Thank you for stopping by and sharing a few minutes of your busy day.

The two girls remind me of happy summer vacations at the beach with my sister Robin and the couple holding hands, Steve and I. For this card, I used VersaFine Clair ink on 130# watercolor paper and used watercolors for the coloring. The background was a freebie from Adobe. Here's a hint about background images like this: If you are printing with an inkjet printer, you can tweak the image with a wet pai

My Card for this week: For this card, I used a preprinted Anna Griffin card base and a few of her flower die-cuts I mounted the bible verse on glitter cardstock. Dimensional tape and gold paint were added to the flower centers. I know I have said this many times, but I make cards to send to people, so they are pretty flat and very mailable.  There was a trend that I tried years back: stunning cards with layers of dimension, flowers, ribbons, and all kinds of amazing things.  Truly works of art on a small scale. Masculine Card for Encouragement and a Little Old School Stamping.

As encouragement for the men in our church, Steve sends an encouraging "word" to each of the men at the beginning of the month.  My job is to take that encouragement and turn it into a card.  For February, I decided to hand stamp the card front after doing the message on the interior.   I used a terrific stamp by Paperbagstudios, wood mounted, red rubber.  I believe this company is no longer in business, but I can still find their cool stamps on eBay , which is where this one came from.  I'll show you the card and then take you through the process:  This is an A6 size top fold card; the base is  Sundance felt finish 110# card stock The stamp is 3.5x4.5  I liked the quote on the stamp, but I needed to remove it for my purposes. Without the quote:  It was a little difficult to get a good stamped image; this is not abnormal for larger wood-mount stamps.  Since I am a collector as well as a user of vintage Magenta stamps, I worked out a great way to get a good image time af

When I was a teenager, it seemed like everyone's mom that I knew was on Valium; as the years passed, the drugs changed.  But the  Anxiety remained.  Today, we all struggle with it, but for a growing number, the answer isn't drugs; it is
