Fun Fall Fridge Magnet Tutorial and a Freebie

Image
For our home study group tonight, I made a fall fridge magnets.  I love making these, I have made so many of these over the last 40 years, I couldn't guess how many!  They started out using construction paper and handwriting ( nothing else available!)  And now, the sky is the limit! I thought I would do a quick tutorial on making these. These make a great favor for any event. From a Hobby Lobby 12x12 paper pack, wonderful colors and patterns of ink-dense florals. Cut 4x6 peices    I lined the edge with an alcohol marker.  This little detail really makes a big difference I glue the patterned paper onto cardboard - I purchase these in precut sizes from Uline. Trim and re-edge just to make sure none of the craft cardboard is showing. I lined my focal verse with washi tape and then picked a contrasting paper from the stack ' I mounted the verse using wide edge double-sided tape, also from Uline Glued this onto the background paper and added two magnets and Voila!  here is mine on

Good Morning Everyone, I know many of us are doing scripture writing in various forms, I write mine in a daily planner and sometimes I make a note in my journaling bible, and then it moves on to a study bible for further investigation. I wanted to share my entry today Because I felt the verses in Titus are so important and relevant for today's insane world. They are to teach what is good,  4   and so train the young women to love their husbands and children,  5   to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.  6   likewise, urge the younger men to be self-controlled.  7   Show yourself in all resp

After taking a 6-month hiatus from the blog, I've started working on a better look, rethinking content and I've purchased a new camera. I guess after 12 years I'm not ready to can MaxamMade.  Is blogging even a relevant forum these days?  I hope so, I am not marketing and I am not doing video, I am still focusing on card making and outreach.  I've just about retired, I am only working 2 half days a week caring for a sweet elderly sister in Christ.  This is giving me more time for all the fun things I've been waiting to have more time for, as well as Ministry work. I still love Word Art Wednesday, and I am using my first made card in months as an entry in this week's challenge.    After spending the summer on a home renovation, my craft room looked like a bomb hit it and I just couldn't craft. Clutter and disorder kill all of my creative juices; 6 months, it felt like a year.  Have you ever paused your crafting, and then when you finally get back to it you f
