It is the end of a beautiful summer here in Upstate New York. I wanted to get in a few more summer cards. This one is for a special friend who is awesome!
Recently I entered a contest for a dog card theme, here is my entry: I think I really Identified with this pooch a few months ago. Now that the dust has settled, I pretty sure I AM ready for more adventures!!
Nothing like the cool winds of Autumn to get you ready for an adventure! The apples on my tree have all dropped and the corn is ready for harvest, who knew the fall would come so early here in beautiful CNY!
If you've read my blog for any length of time you know I love Magenta stamps, and this year I have had the opportunity to join their design team. This is a very happy event for me, I love the stamps and the family owned and operated business. I have found a great group of teams members to work with to explore and expand my own creativity.
Here is my Debut card for the team and a short bio of my stamping life on the Magenta Blog :

I'm using Beautiful papers again from The Paper Temptress's collection called Magnolia Dreams to create my Masculine birthday card. Here is the card:
Here is the Card:
This is the entire the package of this beautiful paper
For this card, I dry embossed a sheet of rich shimmery chocolate brown paper
See how beautiful this comes out? Looks like leather!
Before printing on PT's super smooth translucent Vellum, I give the paper a quick rub over of my Crafting Pouch
Something a little different today! My friend Susan posted this meme on her FB page and I really loved it. It made me think of the verse in Colossians (3:15) And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye THANKFUL. Sometimes it is hard to remember to be thankful when we are trying to remember so many other things. Sometimes we think "why Me?" when we should be thinking Thank you for your abundant mercy Lord". This card I made today I am keeping front and center on my desk - to remind me to be thankful and grateful! why not make one for yourself?
A fast and fun card that will really be a blessing! Maybe make two and send on to a friend and Bless their day!
Hi Everyone! it is Word Art Wednesday time! Check out the blog and enjoy the devotion I had the priviledge to write for this challenge and We also have some really awesome sponsors for our challenges! Make a card, link up and join the fun and don't forget to mail your card!
Love this verse and I can't wait to mail this card!!
A few weeks ago I posted about using my Embelli Gelli while making a vintage card. In that post I used a "chalkboard " digi, the first print did not turn out well.
The owner of the Scraperfect Company contacted me and said, "There is a way to fix that problem", watch this video:
I have to admit, I was very skeptical about it and I was concerned about my printer cartridge head - I did not want anything getting on it and causing problems
But I am all about doing things better so I thought I can at least watch it!
So Since I have the Perfect Crafting Pouch and use and love it all the time for heat embossing, I thought well I can at least give it a try!
Well, I was impressed and my cartridge was fine!
I simply rubbed my pouch over the paper
Before:
Not too bad, but still not what I want on my cards
After:
I did not alter these photos in any way.
so you know What I will be doing when I do these dense images!
Holding all these textured layers:
Best Glue Ever works on everything!
glitter, mirror, glossy papers.
Here is a recap on the Perfect Craft Pouch pouch"
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you found this helpful, I fully endorse the products of the companies I design for, I won't work for them unless their products work for me! I love sharing the good stuff with my readers - to help you spend the green stuff on the best stuff!
Todays' card has been a lot of electronic fun, I've used digital cut files and a digital image. I am learning more every day on how to utilize my machines. To be honest with you I really don't enjoy the whole idea of die cutting. It seems like a lot of money to spend and a lot of storage to utilize. Hence I used my Cricut for fancy dies and my Scan n' Cut for the stamps. and because I use digital stamps 75% of the time this really is the way for me to go!
I'll show you the card and then walk you through the process:
My sketch challenge for this week: We are having beautiful weather here in CNY and I am spending a lot of time out doors and less time in my craft room. I find each season has it's own special type of inspiration, how about you? My favorite season is the Fall, especially here in NY.
