New look and new purpose!

I took a week from regular posting to work out a new Direction and Purpose for this blog.
Our time  is very precious and I want this blog to be time well spent for you!
I want this to be a resource for you to find  Sentiment and Bible verse downloads, art for your paper projects at no cost to you.
I have added two new pages to keep thing searchable for you; Scriptures and Sentiments ; and Images.  Click on the tab for the latest first and then scroll through for more choices.
Please grab my button and share the blessing!!
I hope to be able to publish 5 scriptures a week , Monday through Friday!

One of the first things I needed to do was learn a little of Photoshop Elements  at least enough to accomplish a great desire of mine - Digital Calligraphy of the Word. It isn't too bad!

I hit a few snags especially with the DPI scale, but I had a light bulb moment and got the fuzzy text figured out!
So here is my first offering from Psalm 33:20.

Remember these are all right click downloadable

This sweet frame to put it in:

I am loading these as components for you, you can also use this as is:

and here is my sample card:
and I am entering this  for Word Art Wednesday!

5x7 on strathmore paper.

While you can't tell in the photo the top layer is on an dimensional tape. I may add a bit of ribbon to it.  My cards are not crazy with dimensional elements, I love those kind of cards but because I do a lot of mailing I try to keep things very mailable and under 70cents.  This card weighs just one ounce even with the heavy 110# base and multilayers of colored papers.  I always try to be a good steward with the Resources I have been blessed with and I try to pass that on to you!

I am very excited about this new format, please grab my button and help spread the Word to the whole world, one card and one blog at a time!
Thanks for stopping by,
Ginny M.
Oh just in case you were wondering there will probably be just as many typos and grammatical errors as before!   One mountain at a time!

Still taking a break but I had to share this with you!

I've been working with digitals more and more, I still love rubber stamps, don't get me wrong along with real inks and paints!  But as I have said many times, for me it is about who the card goes to and not the stuff !  Adding digitials to my craft box gives me more ability and more time to get more out!

I'm going to walk you through the process of doing one card.  All of the images ages are downloadable including the final face.  Please feel free to use it, I would love for you to make 100 and mail them all out! send a link back my way if you can and no need to give me credit, I get all the credit I need from the one it really counts with!!
By the way, part of my taking a little break has to do with something that I am going to start offering to you and everyone else who stops by  at no cost, so stay tuned!

Back to the card

First I found a paper I liked:

I applied this to my publisher program

Next I found my digital frame
This frame is a freebie from FarFar Hill

I digitized a scripture, but you can use one found on Word Art Wednesday or Papercraft Memories

Next I Inserted everything onto the "paper" and then played with color

Yes a different verse here and slightly different damask paper

I decided I really like the black and white.

I printed and then turned that printing into a card:

I added a black layer, a few pearls and a gold ribbon

Here is the file for you if you would like to use it!

I made the card 5x6.5 and it is on a 110# strathmore ivory textured paper

This entire process took me about 15 minutes.  now that I have the file saved the next one will take me 5 minutes!  Of course you can add your own sentiment to meet the need for the card , or even put a bit of mirror card in the frame!!
How fun is that!!

I hope you like this little lesson

Show and tell and Word Art Wednesday!

Here's my show and tell for the weeks color set!! I made all of these this morning and late last night! It is been a busy week for me too! Bear with the photos - New camera!!

The first card is for my Word Art Wednesday entry,
I think I've said this before but I always look forward to Wednesday Morning and the new scripture for the week!  Word Art Wednesday provides such an enormous resource to the Christian Cardmaking community!  we need to remember that while we are not charged for all of this beautiful Word art, there are a group of people behind the blog that spend Hundreds of their hours, designing, posting creating marketing with sponsors.  Thier compensation is not in dollars and cents but in crowns.  Please keep these ladies in prayer, The support is needed now while the reward comes later!

I used my card sketch

Here is the rest of the group:

This image contains my own digitized verse. The font is called Papyrus.

I made all of these cards in about two hours, I printed some of the images and just started pulling from my stash.  This was a lot of fun and I am happy with the over all results!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!

Good Morning Everyone! Here are your black and white images!! I'm home for most of the day today and have lots of stuff to do, which I hope I will be able to make some cards. I need something for show and tell tomorrow!!

It is starting to feel like fall here in western Massachusetts!    We have a bout of week where you can turn te AC off before you need to turn the heat on!  On my list of things to do is open up the area where the heat vent is in my craft room!
