Colorful Quick Cards Using Digital ATC Set, Plus Sentiment Freebie

Hi Everyone, I hope you are having a nice weekend!  We have beautiful weather here in CNY right now and I have even had some nice crafty time.   I had a big surprise in my email this week, I won a year subscription of digitals from the awesome Gecko Galz,   as a part of their Birthday Celebration Give-Away.

I haven't had time to start playing with my new gifted images but I did make a set of cards for a challenge A sheet of ATC cards and patterned paper from my scrap box. .  I thought I would share the cards with you, it might give you some ideas on using your stash and I also have a sentiment sheet as a freebie for you!

Here are the Cards:

I used the sheet "Blooming Water"

papers from a stack purchased at Michales on sale.  I know  all this color is not everyone's cup of tea, but as it was said, to "thine own self be true"

I used two vivid background papers and black cardstock to frame the paper layers

I created a digital printout of white on black for the sentiment, but the best my printer/publisher could put out was a very dark gray.  Kinda blah.  So I colored in the white lettering to go with the focal image.
I am going to retry this in PSE or Inkscape to see if it is my printer or software.

I use hem tape for ribbon, it is soft, a great width ties easily and flat - perfect for mailing

5 Fun cheerful cards in less than a half-hour
these are A2 size with 130# cover for card base.

And your Freebie!
This is set up for a half sheet of paper

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
