Butterflies Marble a freebie and using premium Paper for digital and hand stamping

You may have noticed I've signed on as a Design team member for a few new companies in the last few months.  I had taken a break from DT work - for a few years other than Word Art Wednesday.  I've signed on with companies that I truly love the product and feel because I have used them - they are of high quality and value.  I've been stamping for over 40 years so I have a lot of experience with products.  Recently I joined the Paper Temptress Team.  The owner, Patricia is a lovely gal,  a lot like us, she is a working mom and grandma, crafter and entrepreneur.  She started her company 10 years while searching for products to use.  you know the feeling, "why can't I find... for a decent price... and get great customer service"?
My card for today is actually a card I tried to replicate:  The card I had seen, used die cuts and foils, which were magnificent, only I don't have those die cuts and foils!

Here is how I made this card:

for my base I used Heavenly White #120 and this is why:

This base weight gives me a perfect card base everytime, no matter how much weight I put on the front!
Here is an 80# paper
Now, this may not look very different in this photo, but it is hugely different.  This paper will not support any weight on the front let alone heavy weights of paper and embellishments.  And another consideration, it will not "feel" nice in your hand - kinda the difference between a paper plate and china ( I know I sound like a broken record)

With this heavy weight you do need to score for a crisp fold

I printed my background image on  Heavenly White #80
This will work with any inkjet or laser printer - beautifully!
you are welcome to use this freebie!

Hand stamped and colored my butterfly

Put it all together using a bit of stash paper and Best Glue Ever

It really makes the sense to buy the best possible paper you can, in the end, when you might spend an hour coloring or cutting a card, you want your end results to be as beautiful as you imagined it to be!
Thanks for stopping by!
