Cutting and Crafting an Art Deco Card with a freebie!

Todays' card has been a lot of electronic fun, I've used digital cut files and a digital image.  I am learning more every day on how to utilize my machines.  To be honest with you I really don't enjoy the whole idea of die cutting.  It seems like a lot of money to spend and a lot of storage to utilize.  Hence I used my Cricut for fancy dies and my Scan n' Cut for the stamps.  and because I use digital stamps 75% of the time this really is the way for me to go!

I'll show you the card and then walk you through the process:

This card was made using the beautiful papers from the Magnolia Dreams pack btyPaper Temptress

Here is the lovely image for you to use;

For my  Card base,  I used Teal BASIS 80#  and for the  lattice background

The SVG file came from Garcielli Designs also part of the Magnolia Dreams collection

I set my knife on my Cricut explore to the first level on 'fabric'

Here it is on the mat, always looks like it didn't work

But look!
Beautiful clean cut and no problems uploading the SVG and using it in Cricut!

So nice on the Teal Basis!

It can be frustrating trying new things, techniques and or machines - but that is what keeps this craft growing!
Lots of Beautiful and Unique paper over at Paper Temptress and beautiful digitals and SVG's at Graciellie Designs!

Thanks for stopping by!
