A Painterly Butterfly Card

I've created this butterfly card today using an oil painting background and  Skipping Stones Design Stamps. I needed a sympathy card and pulled this set to use and then I noticed the sentiment about gratitude, and I thought I'd like to make a card using it.  Gratitude is such an immensely important emotion and without it, a person can never be happy, they will be living in the mode of always excepting more.  I may use this card and stamp set in a Sunday School lesson!

I printed my background and then stamped the butterfly - I did both of these on Canson 130# water color paper.

I colored with colored pencil and blender pen, my polka dot background layer is a rubber stamp inked with distress oxide ink. I love the opaqueness of this ink when you don't activate it with water. A few micro beads.

This is a very sweet and versatile set, great for bible journaling too!
