My favorite cards to make are the cards where someone asks me to make a card for someone else.The best gift one person can give to another is a gift that will actually enter into eternity, the Word of Life.
It is the only one you can take with you.  
I made this card yesterday for a friend to give to a coworker.


I'll be working on a few more cards today and trying to stay cool
I hope you find someone today that you can give an eternal gift to!

This card is beautiful. The verse holds a lot of meaning for me. In 1997 I had pancreatitis and nearly died. My serum amylase was over 6,000. The maximum normal high was considered 260 at that time. I was comatose for 10 days. I am only alive by the grace of God and because of the many, many prayers that were sent up for me. During my first hospital stay I was depressed and opened a Gideon Bible and this verse is what jumped out to me. It has been a mainstay ever since. God does not send fear, Satan does. God bless you for your work for others.

I know it may sound strange but have this verse printed out in the little room of the house..

.. as it good place for mediation and like things to hold my thought onto so there are lots of verses on the walls door there and this one of them.. it is in giant print compared to rest!!
really adore how you made this card it shone purely and brightly as the word should.

Tutorial: Making Napkin Cards

Here is a fun tried and true old fashioned card making technique. Long before we had all these sumptuous patterned papers we had gorgeous napkins! For depth of color and interesting texture, you can't beat them especially for the money! Most you you may have done these so this will be an ‘Oh Yeah’ moment! Have fun! You can start with any size paper napkin - I like to pick min up at Tuesday Morning, they have a wonderful selection and are usually marked down Separate the printed surface from the tissue backing - these napkins are usually 3 layers I cut my panels to fit a light weight piece of cardstock I drizzled glue on the card stock and then added my napkin panel I found it was easier to keep the light and floaty napkin on the table and then place the gluey paper on it Gently smoothed it a little bit - remember the napkin layer is very fragile I gave it a few minutes to set up and the just added a puddle of Lineco glue. How To Restore A Vintage Rubber Stamp

I have a lovely Vintage  Magenta Cat Stamp, I'm not sure of the exact year of release, but I'm pretty sure it is about 20 years old, It appears to be in perfect condition.   But on inspection, I can feel that the rubber has gotten a little dry and "tough" and what that means is that I won't get a good impression from it.  I bet you have run into the same thing with some of your older stamps!  Don't toss the stamp, there is a way to restore them pretty easily! I have on hand the little sanding blocks you can buy for about $2.00 at the hardware store.  The are very handy in the craft room!  I gave this stamp a vigorous rubbing and then wiped off the dust with a damp wipe Next a coat of glycerin - a $4.00 drugstore item - you can also re-ink your embossing/resist pad with this! Let it sit over night and then wipe with a damp towel.  Your stamp should have that nice soft rubber texture.  Now the ink will sit on the rubber!  I inked up
