Gecko Galz Spring Challenge and a Digital tip
Spring is finally here in CNY, I don't see any snow! Over at the Gecko Galz Spring has definitely sprung! There are lots of beautiful new vintage images full of color, flowers, and love!
I have a card today to show you along with a trick using digitals, here is the card
And like everyone else's craft room, stuff happens here, I dropped my image glue side down and that was in between things so the image stuck to the floor and I had to make another one - sure glad I didn't spend and hour coloring! - why didn'tI just gently peel it up? Because I stepped on it first! Gotta love progressive lens, the floors just disappear!

The femal image is from the Parisian Garden set - so many beautiful images!
My Digi tip today is one on adding a shadow. There is more than one way to do this , I am going to show you how I do it using publisher ( word would work the same way)
The frist image I printed, came out nice but I thought it looked a little flat
so I double clicked on the image in publisher and clicked on "Picture effects"
the caption button is hight light in this picture, ignore that and click on "picture effects"
once you click on picture effects, click on shadow in the drop-down menu, there are a lot of options for shadows, play with them and see what you like. I choose "glow" for this image in a soft aqua, you can use any color you like and adjust how much color you like. this is a very cool feature for using digital images. For printing I love to use Paper Temptress Heavenly White 80# paper, my printer loves it!
I used a subtle shadow but I think it makes a nice difference!
The Sentiment was from my stash
I went with soft pink from Paper Temptress for a base and a silver layer
And like everyone else's craft room, stuff happens here, I dropped my image glue side down and that was in between things so the image stuck to the floor and I had to make another one - sure glad I didn't spend and hour coloring! - why didn'tI just gently peel it up? and the feather, well that covered an inky thumb print from the stamped image!
I hope you found this post helpful in your creative endeavours! Thanks for stopping by and make sure you check out the Gecko Galz blog, there are a lot of freebies to print and to print and color! And don't forget to enter the challenge!

I am glad you persisted as this card is fabulous, Ginny.
I will have fun with my programme (a freebie called Libre Office) and see if I can create shadows....
