But as for you, Teach what Accords with Sound Doctrine, Living in the End Times

Good Morning Everyone, I know many of us are doing scripture writing in various forms, I write mine in a daily planner and sometimes I make a note in my journaling bible, and then it moves on to a study bible for further investigation. I wanted to share my entry today Because I felt the verses in Titus are so important and relevant for today's insane world. Here it is in the ESV: Titus 2:1-8

1 But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine. 2 Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness. 3 Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, 4 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled. 6 likewise, urge the younger men to be self-controlled. 7 Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, 8 and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.

If you look at the things we are supposed to be and do, in the exact opposite, you will see the world today.
Can we make Mondays a weekly evaluation day? To reflect on our upcoming week, ask the Lord to Water AND Anoint our life and the things he has called us to do and be? Can we look around in the body and PRAY for people we know are struggling    ( for whatever reason). Can we give our strength to loving one another instead of being entertained? Can we especially pray for leadership and ministry, that the Lord help them with their personal walk, life, and family and the weight of pastoring, teaching, leading, and encouraging? For physical strength to do these things and fight off physical, emotional, and spiritual exhaustion.
Can we strive to be more biblical Christian women, renewing our minds with the Word, denying the flesh, dying daily, and putting on the mind of Christ, praying without ceasing and rejoicing! Having the confidence that He who created a good work in us will finish it! Believing in the promise he will never lead us or forsake us! He has made us Triumph in every circumstance. HE MAKES US ABLE!
There is so much pressure on the church in this day and age to compromise into the ways of sin, This is the time for all of us ( and I am speaking of the army of praying women), to focus and fight the good fight - if we don't who will?   We need to be very wise and redeem every minute we can.

I know this post is preachier than usual, but I am a preacher and bible teacher, and I feel the pressure of these end times, we are all called to tell the truth of the Gospel.

May the Lord bless you!

Ginny you are so right about the times we live in - and it is so very hard for the younger generation, with the pressures on them, to be able to live as the Bible says - especially in being able to stay at home to be all that God designed them to be for their families.
To pray for those in any leadership position is essential!
I like the idea of a weekly, personal 'evaluation'.
Blessings
