Fun Fall Fridge Magnet Tutorial and a Freebie

For our home study group tonight, I made a fall fridge magnets.  I love making these, I have made so many of these over the last 40 years, I couldn't guess how many!  They started out using construction paper and handwriting ( nothing else available!)  And now, the sky is the limit!

I thought I would do a quick tutorial on making these. These make a great favor for any event.

From a Hobby Lobby 12x12 paper pack, wonderful colors and patterns of ink-dense florals.

Cut 4x6 peices

I lined the edge with an alcohol marker.  This little detail really makes a big difference

I glue the patterned paper onto cardboard - I purchase these in precut sizes from Uline. Trim and re-edge just to make sure none of the craft cardboard is showing.

I lined my focal verse with washi tape and then picked a contrasting paper from the stack '

I mounted the verse using wide edge double-sided tape, also from Uline

Glued this onto the background paper and added two magnets and Voila!

here is mine on my fridge:

And for a later date to make, I place them as a kit in a plastic bag.  These are great to have on hand when you are in a crafting group, they are easy and fast to make.  I tend to "kit up " leftovers" for fast no no-brainer card-making.

And here is your  Freebie:
Thanks for stopping by, have a great day.

This magnet has also been entered in the Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes challenge.
