All purpose card and a life line

We all need life line.  A big one for me was (is)  the verse from Hebrews 13:5 "I will never leave you or forsake you"  When I was 20 I had a boat load of issues and this really spoke to me as a new convert.  When I was 30 the boat was smaller, when I was 40 the boat had somehow grown larger.  At 50, I could look back, watch the boat float far away from me and still I had the verse tucked in my heart.  He never Left me, nor forsook me.  If you live long enough as a Christian you have the deep and satisfying pleasure of having His promises come to pass in your life. It takes Time and Trust.

I made this card for a friend this morning and I wanted to share the thought with my Christian friends and cardmaking with my crafty friends.

A little old school stuff with this card, I will show you the finished card first:

I printed the rose and the bible verse, both of these are Graciellie Designs The sentiment is from the Butterflies set  and the rose was a blog freebie!

I used this old school favorite:

I love the soft pastel look of chalks, they can be erased in the event of a oops!
I use a little bit of hair spray as a fixative.

From this paper I Cricut cut my frame and a few butterflies:

I've been doing a lot of cards the last week with this pad, I tend to try to make as many cards from a pad as possible.  Right now I am enjoying the soft pinks, browns and grays this pad offers.

I also cut the rose leaves for a little dimensional effect over my Cricut cut frame.

I think this is a great all-purpose card.  It is mailable and the message eternal!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Monday!!

Thanks for reminding me about the chalks, Ginny! I used to play with them as a favorite medium for the longest time, and have forgotten them! Your card is beautiful, especially with that lovely digi rose and the die cut on pattern paper. Gorgeous butterflies! hugs, de
