Happy announcement and a Blog Hop!!

I am extremely happy to announce today that I will be on the Graciellie Designs design team for 2017!  I am really happy about this and I feel very honored to be a part of Gracies' Team!   This is a wonderful Christian company with beautiful quality products and excellent customer service.  You won't find anything more beautiful than Graciellie designs and I am very happy to be a part of helping you to use them!!
My style remains in the make it and mail it mode, so if you are like me or like Gracie (Gracie makes cards that look like they should be in  Versailles) You will love these designs, we are releasing four new sets today!!  - the whole team will offer you inspiration and guidance!
Each month we will offer the new release, a  blog hop and  this month we also have a very special prize - a $13.00gift certificate!  Just stop at each blog and leave a comment!

The Set I am revealing today is called Everlasting Love

This is such a wonderful set for many card making needs:  Wedding, Thinking of You's, Get Wells, Baptism and Encouragment!  During the month I am going to bring you a card I've made with each verse and the elements!

Todays' card I am using the beautiful set of wings and the long time symbol of love, the locket.  Wouldn't this make a wonderful valentine too?

I will show you the card and then a tutorial on how I heat embossed  plan ole wrapping paper!

mailable dimension and texture!

First I brought up my image on my standard 4.25" x 6" "canvas"  I created using publisher, you can also use word.  I do this because I do a lot of digitals and it makes it very easy to create my image in the correct scale for my card.

then I printed it on a piece of silver wrapping paper that I cut to a 5x6 size.  I ran it throught the printer,

Waiting for it to come out reminded me of using my easy bake oven as a kid!!
Working very quickly, I got the heat embossing powder right on it!

I had originally thought to use vellum for the wings - that didn't work so well!
Next I fussy cut the wings and backed it on heavy card stock,
I also printed my sentiment out and with a little glue added glitter on the edge of the verse:

I picked out a cut frame from my stash - I used a digital cutter to make this but you can also use your favorite die!  I added and insert to the center to give this a window-ish look.
Using distress inks for just the right pop of color

all assembled and ready to mail!

I hope you make the trip through the blog hope to take a peek at all the beautiful new sets!!  Remember, Leave a comment and maybe you will win the prize!
