Another share for Everlasting Love and scarp cards

My last share for the Everlasting Love set by Graciellie Designs has been made from using scraps.
I have a scrap basket that is 6x8 and that is it. I don't save itsy bitsy things, and I don't do make ahead die cuts from scraps. I may have mentioned in a past post that this year I am going to focus on not buying anything I absolutely don't need.

This card has a lot of layers but it is flat enough to easily mail and is 1oz. 
I used distress inks on the wings, fussy cut the roses, pulled the background and glittery framing paper from stash.

I realize this card might be a little gaudy for some taste, but that is okay, stretching our card making comfort zones is a good thing!

For my Gracielle Design Team series next month, I am going to give you some tips on using digital paper back grounds and good news you don't need photoshop!!  If space is what you are lacking, Digital stamping is wonderful - all you need is your device a printer and ink!

Lovely card -- and to think it's made with scraps! I save scraps from my cards, and when the stash gets too big, I purge it and give a bag of "fun stuff" to a friend who's just getting started in cardmaking! She loves it!
BTW -- thanks for all the sweet comments you've left on my blog for WAW - they always make my day!

I recently watched a You Tube video on how to make an origami Paper dress, I thought these would make the sweetest card for all occasions!  So I had a great time crafting with friends and making these adorable dress card! Tutorial: Making Napkin Cards

Here is a fun tried and true old fashioned card making technique. Long before we had all these sumptuous patterned papers we had gorgeous napkins! For depth of color and interesting texture, you can't beat them especially for the money! Most you you may have done these so this will be an ‘Oh Yeah’ moment! Have fun! You can start with any size paper napkin - I like to pick min up at Tuesday Morning, they have a wonderful selection and are usually marked down Separate the printed surface from the tissue backing - these napkins are usually 3 layers I cut my panels to fit a light weight piece of cardstock I drizzled glue on the card stock and then added my napkin panel I found it was easier to keep the light and floaty napkin on the table and then place the gluey paper on it Gently smoothed it a little bit - remember the napkin layer is very fragile I gave it a few minutes to set up and the just added a puddle of Lineco glue. How To Restore A Vintage Rubber Stamp

I have a lovely Vintage  Magenta Cat Stamp, I'm not sure of the exact year of release, but I'm pretty sure it is about 20 years old, It appears to be in perfect condition.   But on inspection, I can feel that the rubber has gotten a little dry and "tough" and what that means is that I won't get a good impression from it.  I bet you have run into the same thing with some of your older stamps!  Don't toss the stamp, there is a way to restore them pretty easily! I have on hand the little sanding blocks you can buy for about $2.00 at the hardware store.  The are very handy in the craft room!  I gave this stamp a vigorous rubbing and then wiped off the dust with a damp wipe Next a coat of glycerin - a $4.00 drugstore item - you can also re-ink your embossing/resist pad with this! Let it sit over night and then wipe with a damp towel.  Your stamp should have that nice soft rubber texture.  Now the ink will sit on the rubber!  I inked up
