Three things that last and a freebie

You know the old saying, "love what you do, and do what you love"?  It is a great saying, but try spouting that one to the average overworked, underpaid, stressed out woman in today's world and they will either stop talking to you or burst into tears.   I think we can all agree life at times can be just a bit too much. Because it can be a LOT overwhelming on a regular basis it is so important to find time to open your bible, and read the word every day, even if you only have 5 miniutes to do it, even if that means you have your head flipped upside down to dry your hair, get some word into you.  I could say find a prayer time everyday, make time, carve time, squeeze a drop of it somehow into your life.  How about you just try to live it all the time.  Turn the morning news off and put in a bible CD on your way to work, washing the dishes, on the treadmill, there is time in your day, when your day is His.  I would love to say I have a specific time of day I pray, I don't I never have, I guess that is a confession.  That program just never worked for me.  Instead, I lift my voice and thoughts  to the Lord all day, I read the word in big chunks, do bible study, read the proverbs, read it on devoiton cards, write it on snips of paper, I work with it in "doing what I love".  One thing I start my day with is this verse

It really helps to frame my day with this verse, it helps to keep my attitude right and my thoughts positive.    Our life is all about building, we build into the lives of our families, and friends, coworkers.  I want to build good things and lasting things.

I thought about all that when I read a verse to make a card for a friend this morning - see, getting the Word in everywhere you can is so important!

I made my card using this set from  Graciellie Designs, I am going to post the links for those of you who love making cards, Gracie makes such wonderful products for us, I can't help but share - and Yes I am on the DT,  Graciellie Designs was birthed from prayer and I am proud to be a part of it!

therst teh background paper:

I pre trim my papers to 4.25x5.5  to go into the printer,
Here I used Canson watercolor paper#130

My printer is a walmart special, Canon pixma mg3022
I love it, it prints on #130 paper perfectly - you don't have to spend a fortune on a printer!

Here is the Set:

I paste it into my "publisher" program, You can also use word
I use a template that I created, this way my digitals are always to scale

I tried this with the image and the verse together and printed really beautifully, it would have made a beautiful CAS card.  But for when I fussy cutting it will hide too much of the background paper,
So I printed the verses separately

A little alcohol pen coloring

A bit of lace from stash

I used my ATG gun to glue the lace and noticed some of the adhesive was exposed in the lace, that would not be good, after awhile dust and thing would stick to it

So I added glitter to stick on it instead of dust

And here is my finished card!

with just enough dimension to give it pop and still go on 1 stamp!

I love what I do, I make cards with bible verses and send them off to encourage, this verse tells us that the only thing in this life that lasts is Love and it is the greatest thing on Earth and in Heaven, I think too!  Find the time to Love with What ever Gift God has given yo and you will love doing it!
