WOYWW#174

Happy WOYWW desk every one, I'm joining in on Julia's weekly global blog hop on what crafters are crafting.  Go Here to pick up the hop!  Enjoy!  http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/

I went to IKEA today!!  Boy was that fun, firstly I went with three Great ladies, so that alone was fun and then there was IKEA!!  I only purchased a few things, But I came away with great ideas that Steve and I will look at when we go together at the end of the month!
Okay what is on my desk..
Today I'm working on an Oriental Dragon Fly card swap.  It is a 4/4

This is a peddlers Pack Stamp, I stamped gold encore ink on a 80# pearl ivory paper, heat embossed with my Maxam Made Embossing powder.  I colored with Tim Holts distress markers.  That was actually pretty interesting, each section was colored 3 times, I love these inks they are just so blendy!!  I added a glitter glue on the wings and body , and glossy accents on the Lillie's.
I layered them on a distressed purple, and then gold card stock and put them on a yummy140# watercolor paper for a base.

The colors are so off on these pictures, they are really lovely greens, blues, purples and cream!
Next I had company:
He is pretty much black and white kind of a camo/polka dot combo. Before you ask, he weighs in around 165LBS. Best dog ever! Stay off the NEW couch Luke!

And my desk for WOYWW!  See my two new Ikea containers?  Holding the gel pens and Distress markers!!  3.00 at IKEA!! I also made a new little house for my distress inks and their refills!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope to post pictures of my completed Christmas cards this week, almost done!
Have a great day!!
Ginny

I love the dragonfly cards, absolutely gorgeous! Is it wrong to say that I like the uncoloured version more than the coloured? Scrummy.....
And look at those puppy dog eyes...what a gorgeous fella!! But don't tell him I said so, he might get big headed!!
Hugs, LLJ #1 xx
