Happy Monday!

I'm still in celebrations mode! My son and daughter in -law will be here for a two more days.
Right now the house is quiet;  the Steves are at work and I'm catching up on my work and housekeeping and laundry before it gets too busy here.

I am posting my Word art Wednesday challenge today, I wanted to make sure I got a card in with the scripture of the week, this has been a lighthouse scripture for me for 34 years:

No Changing in The Lord, He is always the same. Everything in this life seems to change the minute you think you lay hold of it, but Not The Lord.  He remains who and what He says He is.  His every intention in our lives is for good, for our blessing, for our completion in Him.  No chance,  No Luck, He remains the Same, The great I AM, our Creator and our Redeemer!

I wanted to pull out an old tool and give it a try.

This is my Carl cutter, a great cutting tool!  I have a decorator edge blade on it right now and I thought I'd like to make a card using this  instead of a die.  On the whole I think in the future I will stick with the die and put a straight blade back in the 'Carl'.  This was way to much work for a fancy edge!   Remember way back in the days when Fiskar came our with fancy edge scissors, and you could never get the edges straight?? The days before Dies?

A little practice first:

My print out;

cutting out a frame in black

A little distress ink.  I have no idea what these little round foamies are, I purchased a set of ink pads and I received a giant box full of stamping stuff along with the  ink pads. This box of foamies were included.  I tried them with the distress ink and they are by far the best distressing tool I have used to date!  Plus they come in this neat carry case.

My finished card:

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week!
if you have time, check out WAW make a card, enter the challenge and then mail that card to someone who needs a smile!!

I had the worst time with those ink daubers. They were so darned hard. I ran them over tiny part of my antique cheese grater (can't think of what it's called at the moment but you run orange peels over it) anyway, they now work great. I really enjoy reading your posts.
