Friday Verse and Beautiful Vintage Freebies

Hi, Everyone!  Beautiful Friday here, I' getting ready to go out and enjoy the beautiful summer morning,  but before I do I thought I would leave these images for you and your paper crafting!
Over at Christian Card Makers Group, it is Friday Word Fellowship day.  I leave a verse created by Karen Murray and given to Word Art Wednesday blog at no charge - stopover and you will find many, many more!

I enjoyed making this card, although it was a challenge, I just could not get the background right!

This is a vintage clip art/engraving public domain image, and I love it, except I did not like the decolletage of the neckline.  so I changed it.  Honestly, who wore dresses like that in, daytime , falling out all over the place?

you can see where I brought the neckline up a bit and lightened the image for coloring

Colors

First set of background papers clashed - I picked those out last night and the light obviously was not good!

I tried out a few AG papers

That didn't work either.  I wanted a faded wallpaper look which I achieved more or less using a IO toile background stamp.

I added a little bling to the dress and just a tiny bit to the gauzy scarf on the hat

Here is the verse for you too!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy using this image and that you also have great contentment in your life!

Love the purple, and glad you worked around the background and didn't trash the beautiful shades of her dress. Thank you for sharing the verse too! Enjoy your sunny Friday!

This is lovely, Ginny! Great job with the vintage image and perfect with the scripture.
Lovely card Ginny, and great work to alter the neckline!! She certainly looks serene and content :-)
