Playing with my Cricut

I've started making cards kits again and this time I am getting my Cricut and Scan n' Cut involved.
There is definitely a learning curve  - I am using my computer and scanner and the two cutting machines.  Ever have an idea, you can see the beginning and the end, but the middle is a mystery?
Well I'm about knee deep in the mystery part.  Here are a few results from the Cricut:

My first Cricut card, I thought this was so cute and it only took me three attempts to get it right!  I know some people might think doing cards with cutting and not stamping is simple, It is not!




Of course, I used Best Glue ever to hold all those layers, including the lettering - love the ultra fine tip for that!


Next, I cut a piece of paper lace, just to see if I could!

I think this is pretty amazing and totally vilifies why I don't like using steel dies ( to much work)



Not sure which Side I will use, but both are beautiful.  This actually gives me an idea of how to use one-sided paper I don't like - we know there are usually many of those sheets if you buy stacks!

Oh Ginny that lace had me swooning - I am a big lace fan, and also dabble at making it, but that lace is stunning.
Your elephant card is stunning - so much detail and such a strong but tender image for a baby card.

Wow, a Cricut AND a Scan & Cut! Plus, a computer, wow, that IS a lot of work, but these elephants are beautiful!

I recently watched a You Tube video on how to make an origami Paper dress, I thought these would make the sweetest card for all occasions!  So I had a great time crafting with friends and making these adorable dress card! Tutorial: Making Napkin Cards

Here is a fun tried and true old fashioned card making technique. Long before we had all these sumptuous patterned papers we had gorgeous napkins! For depth of color and interesting texture, you can't beat them especially for the money! Most you you may have done these so this will be an ‘Oh Yeah’ moment! Have fun! You can start with any size paper napkin - I like to pick min up at Tuesday Morning, they have a wonderful selection and are usually marked down Separate the printed surface from the tissue backing - these napkins are usually 3 layers I cut my panels to fit a light weight piece of cardstock I drizzled glue on the card stock and then added my napkin panel I found it was easier to keep the light and floaty napkin on the table and then place the gluey paper on it Gently smoothed it a little bit - remember the napkin layer is very fragile I gave it a few minutes to set up and the just added a puddle of Lineco glue. How To Restore A Vintage Rubber Stamp

I have a lovely Vintage  Magenta Cat Stamp, I'm not sure of the exact year of release, but I'm pretty sure it is about 20 years old, It appears to be in perfect condition.   But on inspection, I can feel that the rubber has gotten a little dry and "tough" and what that means is that I won't get a good impression from it.  I bet you have run into the same thing with some of your older stamps!  Don't toss the stamp, there is a way to restore them pretty easily! I have on hand the little sanding blocks you can buy for about $2.00 at the hardware store.  The are very handy in the craft room!  I gave this stamp a vigorous rubbing and then wiped off the dust with a damp wipe Next a coat of glycerin - a $4.00 drugstore item - you can also re-ink your embossing/resist pad with this! Let it sit over night and then wipe with a damp towel.  Your stamp should have that nice soft rubber texture.  Now the ink will sit on the rubber!  I inked up
