I'm starting with sprays and splatters mainly because Less is More is having a splatter challenge ,
So I grabbed my splattery stuff which I really don't know how to use and then splatterd it on my craft mat. It looks easier on youtube..
Spritz the mat and smoosh the paper
Well, not very exciting
So I tried a different set of inks.
Again, not very nice...
So I Left the water base ink and decided to try alcohol inks
I like this better, it was very interesting how the paper absorbed the ink. I will save this piece for another card
.
Alcohol inks, Ranger Color Wash and Glimmer Spray.
So I thought I'd try distress in with a splatter stamp.
Blah
Same stamp using pigment ink
So I went back to old stand by - watercolors!
Old habits hard to break, this is a color wash is not a splatter!
So I wet the brush and splashed the paint on the paper
A few sheets later I had what I was looking for
and here is the card!
I was all ready to post this and link this up, Then I read the fine print over at Less is More and realized this had to be a one layer card. So back to the drawing board. But to make it quick I used distress ink dauber.
And here is my card
Thanks for stopping by!

I love your card- and your backgrounds will be perfect for a certain card- you just wait and see!
Hi Ginny, oh how I like how the final card came out! I'll admit to being quite hesitant to use the "splatter" technique on anything. It's way to out of line for my OCD tendencies! But, for this card it works quite well. Crystal
Don't discard the backgrounds you don't like. Put them on hold. They will look better later and will make nice cards! This looks too messy for me to try. :)
Super elegant and colourful card.
Thanks so much for sharing and taking part.

Love the first one.. and think you could cut some of them up and use as part of card.. fun! Shaz in Oz.x
Great work Ginny....hard to find just the look we want....I just did a lovely inlay scene with Gold Leafing and thought it need a little splatter in gol. Decided to use a new splatter tool.....oops, should have practiced! Would have come out better using watered down gold acrylic and splatter by tapping a brush - LOL!
Hugs,
Jan
Ginny thank you for sharing all your experiments with us, reminds us all that sometimes it is good just to try out ideas. I think some of your 'blah' papers will make great backgrounds in future for other projects.
Your completed one layer is super!
Thank you for joining us at LIM

Well it looks as though you had a whole heap of fun with this challenge Ginny... don't forget to leave a little white space amid your jollity!
Super card however!
