Word Art Wednesday

This week  and probably for the next two weeks I am very busy putting together two sets of wedding invitations, one for my son and one for my niece!  I am totally enjoying the time spent with the kids and the time spent working on the project, it is keeping me really busy to say the least!

I think we all have little anchors in our lives that hold us down we we are moving around at top speed, I am thankful for those anchors, for the stability they bring.  Reading the WORD every morning is a huge one.  Planning dinner for when Steve comes home, sitting down and eating it at my dinning room table is another.  I am thankful I can read, I am thankful I have Steve to cook for, I am thankful I have a table to sit at and enjoy those moments.

You would think while I am in the process of making 400+ cards I don't need to make another one.  But Word Art Wednesday is another little anchor for me so in the middle of 'wedding everything' I made this card today to post in the Word Art Wednesday Challenge. I love making my bible verse cards, everyone I make I feel refreshed, because God's word always has an impact on those that love it and Him!  it is a win win win!

Because my craft room is a little Topsy Tervy or I should say there is no surface without something for wedding or shower on it - I had to keep it simple for WAW.

Here is this weeks Beautiful verse designed by Karen Murray , such a beautiful verse for an Easter card!

Next a freebie graphic from Little Birdie Blessings

I combined the two

printed 4 up on a nice 80# solar white Laid finish paper

I picked a background paper from a color challenge grouping I am doing on my FB group for the month of April

Then looked for some accessories.  I liked these flowers, they would be fast and easy BUT they were way to fat to make it through the mail, I really try to keep my cards mail-able. Taht is super important to me!

These little flowers were given to me and the colors were perfect, so I pulled the rolled part out of the middle and used the bases.  This is also something I can recreate very easily with my cricut machine!

Here is my finished card
using olive and turquoise just don't really seem to work to me but it seems to work for professional designers and that is what the Color Challenge I'm doing is all about, using colors outside my comfort zone!

The card is quite mail-able and I like the flowers

Try to find the time to hop over to Word Art Wednesday and Read Karens lovely devotion, make a card, enter it and then send it of and make someone smile!
Thanks for Stopping by!

Another stunning card, Ginny. I like how you kept it mailable by flattening those gorgeous flowers just a bit. Thanks SO MUCH for sharing your talents with us, and have a blessed week.
