Creating a portrait in Paper

I made a special card today for a special friend, I thought I would share it with you.  For this card I decided to use the Cryogen White paper and alcohol ink coloring;

I pulled a set of new Jane Davenport stamps and a sheet of shimmery Cryogen paper

I had a block for this and then thought I better use my Misti, the stamp is new and not sure how well it will stamp out

two stamps with the misti and it came out perfect, see how pretty and shimmery this is, it caries through the alcohol ink.

I heat and dry embossed a background sheet of designer paper

I colored the face and stamped a sentiment on vellum
and used left over papers to make butterflies

a bit of antique lace and Heavenly white 120# for a base

I enjoyed coloring this image on the Cryogen paper, the alcohol ink flowed very nicely and gave the ink a shimmery appearance , you'll have to give  it try.
Thanks for visiting!

Beautiful Ginny. Such talent.
Oooohhhhh--I can see her imagination exploding onto the page. This is wonderful, Ginny.
Wow - what a fabulous card Ginny - I too love the cryogen paper, but cannot buy it here, so treasure whats left of mine and rarely use it...
Blessings
Maxine
