Painting with glue for beautiful glittery shimmer and a freebie!

Good Morning everyone!  Today I want to show you a card I made using The Best Glue Ever and super fine glitter.

You know all those yummy pads of expensive designer paper, the one you are almost afraid to cut into.  The ones where you go to the store and you have a million ideas to justify buying that pad, then you get it home and think what was I going to make?

Yup, I'm the same way! Sometimes I think I will make a card a certain way and then realize, well that will require a shirt box just to mail it in!  Well here is one card I made from a lovely G45 pad and it did go in the mail just fine - glitter, lovely flat glitter gave it that something special!


Using glitter is a wonderful way to add something special and mailable to a card!
I love to use The Best Glue Ever for my glittering projects, 






using an acrylic block, I paint the glue on using a fine paint brush and then gently tap on my glitter: 





If I miss a spot, the glue stays tacky long enough to go back and add a little more glitter. I can also add jewels and sequins. Best Glue Ever holds these embellishments perfectly - adding beauty to my card and keeping it mail-able!

Tutorial: Making Napkin Cards

Here is a fun tried and true old fashioned card making technique. Long before we had all these sumptuous patterned papers we had gorgeous napkins! For depth of color and interesting texture, you can't beat them especially for the money! Most you you may have done these so this will be an ‘Oh Yeah’ moment! Have fun! You can start with any size paper napkin - I like to pick min up at Tuesday Morning, they have a wonderful selection and are usually marked down Separate the printed surface from the tissue backing - these napkins are usually 3 layers I cut my panels to fit a light weight piece of cardstock I drizzled glue on the card stock and then added my napkin panel I found it was easier to keep the light and floaty napkin on the table and then place the gluey paper on it Gently smoothed it a little bit - remember the napkin layer is very fragile I gave it a few minutes to set up and the just added a puddle of Lineco glue. How To Restore A Vintage Rubber Stamp

I have a lovely Vintage  Magenta Cat Stamp, I'm not sure of the exact year of release, but I'm pretty sure it is about 20 years old, It appears to be in perfect condition.   But on inspection, I can feel that the rubber has gotten a little dry and "tough" and what that means is that I won't get a good impression from it.  I bet you have run into the same thing with some of your older stamps!  Don't toss the stamp, there is a way to restore them pretty easily! I have on hand the little sanding blocks you can buy for about $2.00 at the hardware store.  The are very handy in the craft room!  I gave this stamp a vigorous rubbing and then wiped off the dust with a damp wipe Next a coat of glycerin - a $4.00 drugstore item - you can also re-ink your embossing/resist pad with this! Let it sit over night and then wipe with a damp towel.  Your stamp should have that nice soft rubber texture.  Now the ink will sit on the rubber!  I inked up
