My card:
When I saw this week's verse, I knew I had to make a card for a very special friend.
She loves cats and I found a sheet of this paper in the Athentique Paws 12x12 pad that has been in my stash for a few years.
When I stopped stamping last year, I decided to also sell a lot of my "stuff" I just had way too much. I had a nice collection of Washi and while I love how it looks, I hate how it behaves. It is one of those supplies that expire very quickly - the adhesive breaks down and becomes useless - it just won't stay stuck!
But I did like how it dressed up my envelopes. So I thought this would be a great way to use up some of the bits from the card. I love patterned paper and my card style reflects that. You know when I was a little girl back in the sixties, my grandmothers house was full of gorgeous wallpaper in every room - and I loved it! This is probably also why I love quilting, fabric patterns, and colors. I tend to gravitate towards botanicals, I love birds and flowers and all things nature.
Here is my faux washi:
I used double-sided tape, it is on there to stay!
