Word Art Wednesday, Freebie and Tip

Since I am back to card making, I also am very happy to be participating In Word Art Wednesday!  If you are a regular reader of my blog, you will know I love this Sweet place on the net, Karen L has owned and run this groups for years and it always stays focused on the Word!  Hop over and check it out, you can be blessed by a great devotional, make a card and enter in the challenge- you might even win a prize!  If you have time there are years worth of scriptures you can download for your card making and ministering, all beautifully done by Karen M.

My card:

When I saw this week's verse, I knew I had to make a card for a very special friend.

She loves cats and I found a sheet of this paper in the Athentique  Paws 12x12 pad that has been in my stash for a few years.

When I stopped stamping last year, I decided to also sell a lot of my "stuff"  I just had way too much. I had a nice collection of Washi and while I love how it looks, I hate how it behaves.  It is one of those supplies that expire very quickly - the adhesive breaks down and becomes useless - it just won't stay stuck!

But I did like how it dressed up my envelopes.  So I thought this would be a great way to use up some of the bits from the card.  I love patterned paper and my card style reflects that.  You know when I was a little girl back in the sixties, my grandmothers house was full of gorgeous wallpaper in every room - and I loved it!  This is probably also why I love quilting, fabric patterns, and colors.  I tend to gravitate towards botanicals, I love birds and flowers and all things nature.

Here is my faux washi:

I used double-sided tape, it is on there to stay!

Today's verse from Word Art Wednesday

Since we are talking about florals here is a freebie from me too!

and Combined if you like  I just made this into a Digi stamp

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day.

This is so sweet, Ginny. I'm glad to see your artwork again.
Love the touch of wool on your beautiful card Ginny. Such a fun touch, and I do like your faux washi - I have never had any problems with it breaking down..
Feel free to digitalise that Bunyon quote Ginny - it's one I love, and thank you for becoming a follower of my blog
Stay safe
Blessings
