Friday! Plus a freebie

Like most people in the US I get a little excited about Fridays, The weekend is coming and that is always good here.

Today I'm working on wedding everything and my normal swaps, challenges, FB group and correspondence.
I made a card today that will fit two needs a "coffee" swap and  the challenge card for The Kraft Journal Blog Challenge

I love working with Kraft Paper, long time ago I used to cut apart grocery bags, do you remember them?  The heavy duty brown paper sacks?  I'd cut them apart and iron them, what a lot of work!

Matter of fact the First card I ever made to Mr. Maxam was one of those cards.  Steve and I had a pretty epic romance, and still do today and it started with a card! He might say it started with me sucking him in like a venus fly trap.  Back then he had dropped of the face of the planet and I hadn't seen him in our normal circle of friends or at church.  I knew he had gone on a temporary military short tour, and I knew he had had a car accident.  So being a modern woman I took the bull by the horns, sat down and made a card and envelope that took me 4 hours to do!  I wrote a note inside that was totally hitting on him if he was interested and if not  - a friendly how are ya.  I had no desire to be rejected by such a great guy, but was tired of  (Steve are you reading this?) W A I T I N G forever for him to do something........  I mailed the card and 2 days later my phone was ringing, we have been inseparable since. That was 15 years ago. Whether it was a venus fly trap or the card it makes no difference to me, I am Mrs Maxam.

He still has all of my cards, and I pulled this first one out to show you:
you can't get a man with a gun, but you sure can with a card!
I mailed this in a cellophane sleeve, totally cool in 2000!

paper bag craft paper background and envelope!!

For my Challenge entry for The Kraft Journal I used this fun stamp by Impression Obsession

My card:

The stamp is stamped on a light weight card stock and heat embossed, I used a printed craft paper by Tim Holtz - global postage and the base is a 110# Kraft paper.

I now have this crane in digital and I'm leaving it here to share with you!
This pair can be spilt too.

the inside of the envelope is stamped with this one:

and another crane ( I love cranes!)

I hope you take the time to check out the challenge and enter your self!
Thanks for stopping by!
