Thanks Giving

 
I will enter into his gates with Thanks Giving and into His Courts with Praise
 
Here in the US we will celebrate what we call Thanksgiving Day, in just a few
hours. Most of the hype will center around eating a bird we call the Turkey.
It is a hugely ugly thing, lacking in grace and beauty. As far as I know we are
the only things on the earth that try to eat it on a regular basis, or at least
once a year. All of us here in the US will have many memories good and bad
associated with the day, and will proceed to make many more of both natures.

I would like to make one very important memory in the midst of all of this. I
think it may be a most important memory, and I want to make it in the mind of
God. I want him to remember me, entering into his Gates with Real Thanks Giving
and entering into his Courts with Praise. When I enter through the Gates, I am
leaving behind this temporal world , I am leaving behind this world of
corruption and passing into the eternal , When I enter into his Courts, I come
into his presence, before all that is Perfect and Holy. No place for turkeys or
biscuits and not even my gravy. I want thanksgiving to be part of my life,
everyday . I want God to remember me with Joy.

ah, so true Ginny, EVERY day we can enter into His courts with praise!
... as we start the day in the service of the King and Lord and Saviour..
I have read some thanksgiving posts today and found God does not even rate a mention which seems very sad.
God blesses us with so very much and we need to daily count our blessing and give Him the thanks..
As read one post where the LORD was there - "In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

Tutorial: Making Napkin Cards

Here is a fun tried and true old fashioned card making technique. Long before we had all these sumptuous patterned papers we had gorgeous napkins! For depth of color and interesting texture, you can't beat them especially for the money! Most you you may have done these so this will be an ‘Oh Yeah’ moment! Have fun! You can start with any size paper napkin - I like to pick min up at Tuesday Morning, they have a wonderful selection and are usually marked down Separate the printed surface from the tissue backing - these napkins are usually 3 layers I cut my panels to fit a light weight piece of cardstock I drizzled glue on the card stock and then added my napkin panel I found it was easier to keep the light and floaty napkin on the table and then place the gluey paper on it Gently smoothed it a little bit - remember the napkin layer is very fragile I gave it a few minutes to set up and the just added a puddle of Lineco glue. How To Restore A Vintage Rubber Stamp

I have a lovely Vintage  Magenta Cat Stamp, I'm not sure of the exact year of release, but I'm pretty sure it is about 20 years old, It appears to be in perfect condition.   But on inspection, I can feel that the rubber has gotten a little dry and "tough" and what that means is that I won't get a good impression from it.  I bet you have run into the same thing with some of your older stamps!  Don't toss the stamp, there is a way to restore them pretty easily! I have on hand the little sanding blocks you can buy for about $2.00 at the hardware store.  The are very handy in the craft room!  I gave this stamp a vigorous rubbing and then wiped off the dust with a damp wipe Next a coat of glycerin - a $4.00 drugstore item - you can also re-ink your embossing/resist pad with this! Let it sit over night and then wipe with a damp towel.  Your stamp should have that nice soft rubber texture.  Now the ink will sit on the rubber!  I inked up
