One quick project for me today, I had a house full of women late in the morning, I hosted  our women’s bible study  and prayer group today at my house.  Lunch and a Birthday cake!  The card I made was for the Birthday Girl, and I wanted to use a stamp that I hadn’t used before.  Having the gals over was a lot of fun, but before the fun started I had to get my flame thrower out to de-dust the place.  Between the world’s most obsessive compulsive clean cat and my big dopey dog. You just can’t believe the dust around here. And frankly dusting is not on the top of my list of things to do!  Well my stamp room is dust free, guess that shows you where my priorities are!  Here is the card  I just think this little girl is so sweet!  The stamp is by Hero Arts.

These are stamped on 80lb solar white Neenah cards stock and colored with Tim Holtz distress inks.  I love these inks they are just so cool to work with  (cool, does anyone say that anymore?)  I did heat emboss these, black pigment ink, black powder.

I stamped the bases on 140lb cold pressed paper.  This is a watercolor paper made by Canson's.  I purchased this wonderful paper at A local Michaels,  the tablet comes in 30 sheets, I cut it in half so I get 60 A6 size bases from it and I purchased this when it was 40% off plus I used a 20% entire purchase coupon and I had a 5.00 credit on my card.  So for 60 bases of this really beautiful paper I paid 35 cents.  I'm only blathering about all that to say if you are watchful you can find some wonderful supplies at great prices.  I'd like to say something about paper, buy the best possible, it DOES make a lot of difference in the finished product.
I used a Kaleidoscope ink pad  to make the background.

The colors are actually very vibrant in real life, the purple on the little girls cloths was done in a MS glitter marker.  The sheet music corner actually is the Happy Birthday tune!!  Enjoy the Hop and thanks for stopping by!

OMGosh!
All of your cards are so sweet!
You always amaze me with your creativity!
I can't even believe the amount of time these cards must have taken, but the results are so worth it. Love!
Ginny......you are a talented lady...keep the ideas coming!

Lovely stuff Ginny - isn't it amazing how different you can make a card just by changing the colour of a mount. I really like the circular stamp you used on the card front.
