Quiet day here

It's a quiet day here, we're getting ready to head out.  I wanted to share what I made over the weekend!
I made bunches of paper flowers, they were fun to do and I already had everything I needed.
Flowers this size are 1.00 each at hobby lobby!! That is just way to much for me!!  After I got in the Grove, I started enjoying making these. 



That top blue flower is a 3d flower I make from a 'Digital scrapbook element"  From the magazine I posted about (download) yesterday, as is the cameo, butterflies  and the violet!






These journals were made to order and are for swaps and art journaling. 
The 'Unto Thee Oh Lord' is a design I did about 20years ago and won an award from Neenah Paper company along with a case of paper! Each letter in an individual tile, you can't se the details but it is a fun project.  The font  is called Codex.  From Dafont.com This a a free site that I've used for years - before it was free!!
That kept me busy yesterday! 
 
A lunch date with my sweetheart is calling me!

I recently watched a You Tube video on how to make an origami Paper dress, I thought these would make the sweetest card for all occasions!  So I had a great time crafting with friends and making these adorable dress card! These three are my favorites: I used an old Stampin' Up background stamp for the background on most of these. I left the sentiment off, for now, that way I can turn these into whatever I need them to be when I get ready to send it! Tutorial: Making Napkin Cards

Here is a fun tried and true old fashioned card making technique. Long before we had all these sumptuous patterned papers we had gorgeous napkins! For depth of color and interesting texture, you can't beat them especially for the money! Most you you may have done these so this will be an ‘Oh Yeah’ moment! Have fun! You can start with any size paper napkin - I like to pick min up at Tuesday Morning, they have a wonderful selection and are usually marked down Separate the printed surface from the tissue backing - these napkins are usually 3 layers I cut my panels to fit a light weight piece of cardstock I drizzled glue on the card stock and then added my napkin panel I found it was easier to keep the light and floaty napkin on the table and then place the gluey paper on it Gently smoothed it a little bit - remember the napkin layer is very fragile I gave it a few minutes to set up and the just added a puddle of Lineco glue. How To Restore A Vintage Rubber Stamp

I have a lovely Vintage  Magenta Cat Stamp, I'm not sure of the exact year of release, but I'm pretty sure it is about 20 years old, It appears to be in perfect condition.   But on inspection, I can feel that the rubber has gotten a little dry and "tough" and what that means is that I won't get a good impression from it.  I bet you have run into the same thing with some of your older stamps!  Don't toss the stamp, there is a way to restore them pretty easily! I have on hand the little sanding blocks you can buy for about $2.00 at the hardware store.  The are very handy in the craft room!  I gave this stamp a vigorous rubbing and then wiped off the dust with a damp wipe Next a coat of glycerin - a $4.00 drugstore item - you can also re-ink your embossing/resist pad with this! Let it sit over night and then wipe with a damp towel.  Your stamp should have that nice soft rubber texture.  Now the ink will sit on the rubber!  I inked up
