Cling back alternative and a fun card
I have a few rubber stamps that remain without a backing of any kind. One of them this fun fish stamp that I pulled of a wood block and unfortunately the foam came off in pieces. To get a good impression, you really need foam somewhere, either under the rubber or under the paper you are stamping on.
A mouse pad works well for under the paper cushion, but I prefer under- the- rubber- cushion.
Here is a really cheap cling back DIY foam you might want to try. It worked for me!!
Using two sheets of regular ol' craft foamy stuff: I glued the two sheet together, and then glued the rubber on top.
This is pretty low tech
After the adhesive dried ( about an hour later) I added Aleenes tack it over and over to the back side and let that dry for a few hours.

I used this Jewelry glue because I had it and I thought it would be the right glue for this job.
It worked perfectly, no doubt you will have something in your stash too.

This works beautifully with my mega mount
I stamped a couple of the back ground sheets.
And then made the main image for the card:
Taking my color que from this little piece of paper
I brayed a background - a tip here, only roll your brayer in one direction.
I stamped over this with the fish image, Added a layer of Versa mark ink by pouncing it over the brayered ink.
I then heat embossed in clear over the whole thing.
Colored and fussy cut a few fish, added nail polish with iridescent scales.
and here is the finished card:
Try the foamies for you unmounted's it costs pennies, it is super easy and you get great results!
Thanks for stopping by,

I have a whole heap of unmounted so, and I just use glue stick to attach them to the ink block and then stamp on my firm but thick grey pricking mat, I don't prick on this one, got it free in an eBay sale once.
That works well and the beauty is can store heaps of unmounteds in clear video case, in cd case stand. Annette at OSA gave me this tip and really love it..
The glue stick washes off well ..
Don't have the Allens tack glue thingy so save expense where where you can't get a lot of things, including foam super cheap.
