Here is today's verse:

For my sample card today I choose a sunflower.

I stamped off two images using my ink pad with printer ink and pulled my colors

I laid down a base color:

Added more yellows and then worked in brown with a colored pencil,
denatured alcohol and a blending stump.

I stippled in the center using black, brown and dark green.

for a bit of life like texture I added black glass micro beads

I layered my fussy cut flower on top of the second stamped image - I also colored the petals in a dark shade of yellow.

A little lineco glue in the area I wanted the beads

:
I added my verse that I also colored and cut to shape

My next step was to find a good background paper, this bold image was going to need a high contrast background to make it pop:

Choosing

And here is the card:

Here are a few sunflowers for you to have fun coloring!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see your entry over at Word Art Wednesday!

What a gorgeous sunflower, Ginny. Combining watercolor and pencils is completely new to me, but a very nice effect and the microbeads just complete it all. Simply stunning! Crystal
