Krafty Lace flowers

I love Kraft color cards, but I am not always comfortable getting them going. I love the dramatic look of  the black  ink on the woodsy kraft Paper, but then,  I end up thinking I need more contrast.
Today I wanted to make a  kind of a western card, with kraft paper and with flowers and with a ribbon! Why not, you have to get out of your comfort zone once in a while!
To give this card some real pop I used a piece of paper called Lime Mica Metallic by Paper Temptress

 Yummy!

My choice of stamps was Lace flowers by Garaciellie Designs

I printed my flower on the card face base layer, I changed the flower to be a soft shade of brown to create a stamped background image

Using colored pencil on craft gives you a super rich pigment dense layer of color.

Fussy cut and ready for coloring

Here is my westerny, kraft and flower card:

This beautiful set is proving to be very versatile.  It is important to me  to not just have beautiful stamps but to be able to use them over and over again.  Lace flowers is proving to be a 'go to set'!

Using Kraft and colored pencils was a little different for me.  I encourage you to try something not in you normal bag of crafty tricks, it is fun!!

Such a great eye for color you have! Your flower is gorgeous and how I love it printed on the BG on Kraft! Beautiful!
What a stunner Ginny - love your vibrant colours on the kraft, contrasted with the soft background.
