Promises Kept
So many things in this life are unsure and unpredictable, promises made and unfulfilled, leading to that 'same ole, same ole' feeling of let down. Diet pills, make a lot of money fast plans, dream vacations if you sell two million clip boards, the million dollar home you can buy for $50,000 because it is in foreclosure. Inflated hopes and dreams, Empty promises . Same Ole, Same Ole.
Not so with the Word Of God, every promise, fulfilled. A Life of hope and peace even in the midst's of storms. A Solid, building, renewing Life plan. Personally I have always wanted to understand the ways of God, to know His purpose for my life. While I was studying this morning I felt inclined to share what I had gleaned about one of the most important things in the bible, knowing the mind of God and walking in His Ways. This Proverb chapter gives us a beautiful promise, to know him better.
It is almost mathematical (ewww did I say the M word??)
Proverbs 2:
IF:
if you accept my words
and store up my commands within you,
turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding,
and if you call out for insight
and cry aloud for understanding,
and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,
THEN
then you will understand the reverence of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.
FOR
For the Lord gives wisdom,
and from him comes knowledge and understanding.
He holds victory in store for the upright,
he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,
for he guards the course of the just
and protects the way of his faithful ones.
THEN
Then you will understand what is right and just
and fair—every good path.
FOR
For wisdom will enter your heart,
and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
WILL
Discretion will protect you,
and understanding will guard you.
Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men,
Thus
Thus you will walk in the ways of good men
and keep to the paths of the righteous.
I'm not going to go into a lot of explanation, I think the word clearly speaks for itself and gives us a beautiful sure promise! I hope this blessed you and you have a wonderful day!

May we always be keeping our feet sure ~ walking in the way of the Word of God rather thank the slippery slope of the ways of the world, seeking temporary pleasure and not looking at things which last forever - human souls.
This thought reminds me of Hebrews 11- the faith chapter where it talks of those who have gone on before..
Hebrews 11 [23] By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, ...
[24] By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
[25] Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
Choices - we all have choices in life.. and they affect us eternally.
May we look to the One who loves us with and everlasting love - there dear Lord Jesus Who gave up all that he might give us all.
Love in Him and praying for all who read this Ginny,
