Friday Challenge!

Good Morning!  It is about 6 am and I am in my craft room.  It is a lovely dry cool morning, about 72 degrees and the humidity is low.  So far here in western Massachusetts it has been a hot sticky summer.  Totally reminds of the summers we used to have when I was a kid.   I love getting up early, it is peaceful and quiet, I spend time reading my Bible and getting ready for the day. In Proverbs the 12th chapter it says: "A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband", what a beautiful word picture.  I am  inspired me to be a better wife and friend today.

Over on SpeedyTV is Friday is the  Tutorial Time Challenge, you can go here to check out 'Thrifty Stampers' tutorial on using fabric in your card making!  If you post your card (entering the challenge) you may even win a free set of stamps!

I especially loved this challenge because I am a quilter and a crazy quilter, which means I have lots of beautiful fabrics to use in my card making!!

This is my Design Team submission:

I   used a beautiful piece of red embroidered silk for this card and covered the front and back.  It is layered on 100lb Strathmore paper.  for Stamps I picked the Asian delights set and the Ivy and Blossom set, both are June releases if you go here you will finds these stamps and lots more inspirations!
This card because of all the paper and fabric  is heavy and weighed in at 2 oz.  The weight of a card is something you have to keep in consideration for postage - this will be a two stamper!
I encourage you to try this challenge, I think you will enjoy it especially if you have a fabric stash!
I hope you have a wonderful day and Yay it is Friday!!
