Joni Eareckson Tada and Gray Butterflies

I came across A  wonderful quote by Joni Eareckson Tada, and immediately put it into calligraphy to make cards with.

I used this weeks 'MojoMonday's' card sketch to help me build the card:

I've just started using sketches and I really am enjoying this tool!!  I prefer a larger card in the A6 or A7 size which works perfectly well with sketch.  If you'd like to read more or entire a card on their blog go here: http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/

Here's my card:
I made the photo so large as to make the quote easy to read

I made this card on the run, before church this morning and hope to make another dozen this afternoon, I just think it is so encouraging!
Joni Eareckson Tada is an amazing woman, Her story has inspired me for the last thirty three years. in 1979 I was a new Christian and  I saw one of her paintings in a christian book store and the gal I was with told me her story. To me she is one of the hero's of faith, not because of her accident, but because of her willingness to work through, live and love in very difficult circumstances.  Not only that, but she works tirelessly to reach out and encourage others, and to physically minister to peoples needs.  To read more about Joni go here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joni_Eareckson_Tada

Another card I made today, I didn't use a sketch for but just 'winged it' no pun intended.  The theme was shades of gray. Go here to check out the other Gray cards:

My card was done in warm shades of brown grays and I added a top coat of clear nail polish with glitter in it.  A little hard to see because I had to turn the flash off!
What I love about this card is while it is in gray, the verse to so colorful and full of promise!  His Mercies are New Everyday!! That is so amazing to even consider!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are having a restful day!!
