Waiting for the Rain and Envelope punch board

Another Hot day here in Western Massachusetts, we are due for a thunderstorm and need it, I love waiting for the rains to come, they are so refreshing.
Today is day 3 of my spend fast ( no craft purchases)  Of course since I decided to do this I have gotten massive coupons like never before, 25% entire purchase including sale items!!!!  Yeah  right, lead me not into temptation!
I am trying to work better with what I have.  I have been cleaning my craft room sorting and reorganizing.   The other day, I couldn't remember where one of my stamps was, and yesterday I couldn't remember where my Asian dies were.  I think if you can't remember what you have , you have too much!  Did I mention about some of the really really nice designer papers coming out right now?  ( Yes I am going through withdrawal).
I thought I'd post something useful today, two things:

1) Homemade glue dots:  These are awesome!! all you need is a bottle of Best Glue Ever and the slick side of sticker paper:

This bottle was about $6.00 and I stopped counting how many dots I've gotten from it but I have had it for a year and a half.  Glue dots on a roll run around $5.00 for 500. or $47.00 for $4,000 on uline
Last time I tried to figure out how many dots I could get from one bottle it was over 20,000.

I make the dots in three sizes, small, medium and large.  Just dot away on one half of the sticker paper and let it dry completely, fold the non dotty side over it, they last forever in a drawer or ziplock bag.  I store mine in a drawer.

The next thing is making your own envelopes!  I've been making mine for ages using a template and it works!  But this gizmo came out at winter CHA in January and I waited till May to get one.             I love it!
You can make 60 sizes of envelopes according to the maker!

It is made by "We R Memory Keepers" and it is called an envelope punch board.  The chart on the front tells you what size to cut your paper and then you place it on the appointed grid mark, punch, score, turn, punch and score - you do this to all the sides, it is so easy and the envelopes come out perfect!!

I have several thousand pieces of this Strathmore 100# card stock, it is the "waste" from cutting a giant batch of paper at the printers. Folded in half it makes a very cute 3.5 x 5.5 card base.
I use a piece of 12x12 scrap book paper and then follow the directions on the board for cutting and punching.

I made the envelope 4x6.  There is enough left over from the envelope paper to make a matching layer on the card.
And you can't make just one!!

I highly recommend the Envelope Punch Board to add a little something extra to your specialty card making!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and I hope you are enjoying your weekend!!

Great idea...my only question is where do I get the 'sticker paper' - does it go by another name...can wax paper be used?
Thanks for the help!
