WOYWW #213 and sketches

It is WOYWW# 213 and the start of it is over here in the UK; http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/  Grab a cuppa and enjoy!  I usually need the whole week to stop by! It is a fun hop brimming with ideas!
Today on my work desk are man cards.  I am out of masculine birthday cards and needed some to get into the morning mail, which means I need them fast, but I didn't want them to look slapped together!

I did something I don't normally do simply because I am not in the habit of doing it - (which may change)
I used a sketch!!
While I am looking for one I decided to put the one I have in a better note book!  I use the sketches from this site: http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/  I've printed them out and keep them in a binder. I chose my sketch and pulled the paper I wanted:

Went to get a cup of coffee and came back to find squatters ( all male) looking at espn on the computer.

I think My Hunnay was saying something like "busted" to the dog.  Even Tink was in on this one!!

I regained my territory and did up a sheet of Happy Birthday sentiments.  I am using digital more and more for the sentiments.  I can do up a sheet, say exactly what I want to, never worry about centering or halos.  Sometimes I feel like passing on the many small sentiment stamps for occasions.

Here is the finished card, This is one of 6.

So it is to the mailbox for this card!
I hope you all have a great week and thank you for stopping by!

What a great card and although I'm not a cardmaker I can see that when time is short, using a sketch is a really good idea. Who would know? I love that your boys look so guilty ...lol! Thanks for sharing and happy woyww Liz@63
