Word Art Wednesday and Snipit

Every week the wonderful world of Word Art Wednesday is brought to us with a beautiful digital Bible verse stamp done by Karen Murray  you can visit her every day at  Papercraft Memories. Take a trip over there, you will love what you find!

I wanted to make mention of something , I know I've said this before  many times but someone asked me today why my cards were so flat, have I ever considered using more dimension.  Right now it is very popular to have a great deal of dimension on Design Team cards - they are extremely beautiful, they are like wedding cakes!  I think they should be framed! The artists often spend 5-6 hours on these cards and it shows.  But those cards aren't going to battlefields and being mailed 20-30 per week - mine are.  So the flat-ish is intentional, I need to get them in a regular envelope with affordable postage.  Most of my cards are going to people I do not know or know just slightly. .  What I teach here is what I do: make cards to mail and to bless, and to be affordable both in supplies  and in postage.  I do use ribbon and ornaments and embellishments, I love them, in order to keep them mailable I work at making them very striking with out the dimension.  Of course there will be the cards that are duds - but that is all part of growing!  Anyway.....

Working with digitals you really need to use full  or half sheets of paper , most printers don't like scraps in the 3x4 size! Using that for most printers is a great way to test your patience levels while you are clearing a paper jam.
This is what I do, I do my layout in word of the verse - today I am using Word Art Wednesdays
verse:

I did a 6 up layout in word:

Then in the blink of an I turned it into a jpeg using the windows tool Snip-it!!
Both of the above are download-able.  if your are unfamiliar with snip it check this video out on
you tube. It is well worth your time!

I went on to make my card using one of my digital images for back grounds :

a card sketch:

Some scraps

And there is my finished card

All of the images are downloadable , please feel to use and share!!
Thanks for stopping by!
