Wing It

"Wing It"  Was the challenge theme for the Our Daily Bread Blog challenge this week.  You may be like me and think, "wing it"  I've been Winging it my whole life!! I think most of us have!
So making this card was not hard!!  I combined a few elements here, Digital image, Stamp and Faux letterpress!    I'll show you the cards and then describe the elements:

The background with the damask design is a faux letterpress technique.  It's very simple; ink up the embossing folder and use a very soft, thick paper.  I used a 100# water color paper.  Run it through your embosser  and it comes out a de-bossed inked design, just like letterpress only so so so much easier!

The Image is a Nicecrane Design printed out on 65# Solar white paper, comes out perfect!!
I use an old HP printer- nothing fancy!

The Stamped image is from Our Daily Bread Designs, I stamped this on the same Solar White paper and distress with Tim Holtz inks .

I encourage you to try the Faux Letterpress  technique, it is so easy and you'll already have everything if you dry emboss, this will give you a little more bang for your buck!

For a few more great tips, go over to my friend Shaz's blog - she has some very inspiring tips!!
