WOYWW # 236 and the Studio peek page

It's Wednesday fun time, Grab a cuppa and head over to Julia's to start the crafty desk top tour!!
This Wednesday in the AM,   my  desk is Clean!!!  Yay!  Even though it is tidy now, I have been busy, busy busy! I have a couple things to mention and show you, but in an effort to economize your time, if you are not interested in all the Blah, Blah, Blah, I'll go straight to the tidy desk shot! :

Ta Da, clean desk!!

My Project earlier in the am was a couple of masculine birthday cards, I wanted something simple and not to serious.

I started with two fish images, I have no idea what these guys are but I like them!
I colored and stickled

 Pulled my sketch book out,
I keep a ring binder of the sketches printed out for each month.  This tool is so handy and it is easy to print one of your own. Just click on the year when you get to the blog, you'll se what I mean!

The finished cards:

I Also started a new weekend project, I am making cards from the left overs of my card making for the week!  Last weekend I made 11 cards from the scraps of the cards I made during the week.

Today I thought I need to take this up one more step, I have So many card parts, leftovers and scraps waiting to be made into cards!  These are quality things I need to use and not waste.
Here is an example of a card I made to day with some bits that were hanging out on my desk.  The Geisha was pulled from a drawer of about 200 other lovely images that I printed up over a year ago

This card took 5 miniutes and every piece was a scrap or a ready to go part.

I love making cards in a grab and glue sort of way , it is fast and fun!

So What I am going to do is start recording how may of these cards I do a week, you see a little box at the top of the page in my side bar called "Use It Up Challenge"
Doing this challenges me to use more creativity and be more spontaneous.  I'm also going to use up tons of great stash, I bought it in the first place to use and not hoard.
Right now I think I have enough parts and scraps to make at least 500 cards.
I have enough cardstock for bases and ATG Glue and everything else to easily tackle this  project.
anyone else out there will to try?  For my original post on the week end project go here.  Read this post and the next days and you'll see what I am talking about!

The next thing I did was create a page for my craft room along with a request to have a peek in the drawers (there ya go Jan!). So just click over you you will have a quick tour!

I hope you have a great day and enjoy the desk hop!!

You have an awesome desk. I love organized, and your desk area sure is! I think I need that challenge, too. I have lots of stuff, but I only make a few cards at Christmas. So, my challenge would be other quality mixed media art, instead of cards. Sounds fun, though. Have a great WOYWW from #1.
Be still, my heart! Ginny, you made this old woman with O(rganized) C(rafting) D(isorder) very, very happy with your clean desk, your studio, your organization, and your use of your snippets! You might want to check out Pixie's Crafty Workshop, a place to post cards made with snippets! Happy WOYWW and have a great week!! Hugs, Darnell #22

There is so much to like about your post. The beautiful array of copic, pencil and other colors; the very cool fish cards, and the whole idea of using bits and bobs. Something I am embracing (although perhaps not in quite such a large way). Your cards are great.....
Hop you have a great week.

Good grief, you and Super Stamp Girl are putting us all to shame with your super tidy desks!! Mine is usually not quite as manic as it has been the past couple of weeks..I don't like it, makes my teeth itch.
Great colouring on that ultra pointy fish, you can almost see its glistening greeny scales!
