WOYWW# 257

Thanks for stopping by and joining in the international blog hop What is On Your Work Desk #257!!  The fun starts here at Julia's desk over in the UK.
I'm not making cards today, I'm trying to find room for a batch of wooden stamps.  I unmounted most of my stamps to save space. But I just couldn't do all my magenta stamps, I wish I hadn't done any of them ( the magenta's) but to late now.  So trying to come up with an ordering system.  That is what is on my desk, orphans.  Not a lot...

I found these yummy bling things at michaels, they were about 5.00 a pound, they come in color sets and seem to be flat enough to mail.  Just a little bling for the cards - a lift time supply!

And these  are  the shelves that need to be rearranged.

I know some people have  great indexing systems  and I do for my unmounted, but not for the wood mounts.  I might do that someday.
I only have stamps I love, I don't buy stamps because they are on sale or because I might use them for  something someday.  As a result I see a pattern in my collections : Strong Bold images. How about you, what does your style lend itself too?
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day - enjoy WOYWW#257!

Love your shelves of stamps! I don't really have that many, but I just found a company that I love, and have been ordering from them. Like you, I only want stamps I really really like, because I just don't have enough room for the "somedays." Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #71

I am with you- there are some advantages to unmounting stamps, but love the wood mounted ones if I can keep them this way. Love your shelves- I am a little OCD, so have LOTS of stamps- nothing better than a garage sale...... I love Magenta as well : )

Your stamp-bountiful shelves are wonderful!

I love the wooden mounted stamps, but you are so right, they do take up a lot of room.

Happy woyww to you!

Wow - those shelves look like a stamping supplies shop ! Hope you have fun playing with them as you sot them into themes ! I have all my unmounted in folders by subject but as you say the wooden ones are much more cumbersome to sort in some way ! Ali #19

Oh my - you have some really lovely stamps there! I need to get mine in order, too, but don't have nearly as many as you. Have a great week, and see you around on the FB page. Chris # 47

What wonderful shelves!! I wouldn't dream, no matter how short of space I was (am!!) of unmounting my wooden stamps, I love them like that! Hope you find a system for sorting them. Helen 13

Hi Ginny,

I've thought about unmounting my wood stamps but am not brave enough to do it. I don't have a system for any of my stamps either -- they are all located in two drawers. You see, I don't have a designated craft room; I use my dining room table and I'm trying hard not to leave things out for very long. So far so good!

The stamps on your shelves are fun to look at - and very easy for you to find!

Happy belated WOYWW
Peace, Kay (17)

Some stamp collection, Ginny - and these are only your mounted ones! I love the bird on the top row of your display - and the one on the bottom row. Some beautiful images there. Why find another way to display them? They look just great like that.... Or is that not their normal place??
Would have loved to join in your encouragement facebook page - but I don't do social media sites - so will have to give it a mess, I'm afraid... :-(
Have a great week.

Me too, strong, often outline images. I have shelves too and they aren't artfully arranged like yours - merely stacked rubber to wood 5 or 6 deep. But it's OK coz I know where they are!
